kol 845 mlm, aku dpt berita tentang kematian kak saimah bt md Said, isteri kpd abg mi. abg mi ni owner anjung marquee & tent (tmpt aku wat part time akaun). kak imah kembali ke rahmatullah pd usia 37 tahun, jam 7.30 mlm di hospital ampang & jenazahnya dikebumikan di kg dia kt sungkai, perak. punca kematian adalah kerana kencing manis yg tinggi & x dpt diselamatkan. 2-3 sblm tu, dia mmg dh sakit kepala & xlarat wat keje. p klinik, doc ckp migrain. bg ubat sume. pg sabtu, sbb x baik jugak sakit kepalanya, abg mi bwk p spital. sampai spital, wat blood test, rupanya ada kencing manis yg sampai tahap xdpt diselamatkan.

aku dpt berita kematian dia agk lmbt. so, lmbt la aku sampai. aku sampai hospital, ambulans baru kuar nk ke perak. jd, aku dgn kak ina ke umah abg mi. dia balik umah kemas kain baju nk balik kg. dh ramai sedara mara berkumpul kt umah dia. xde ape yg dpt kami tolong, cuma harap dgn kehadiran kami, dpt bg sokongan pd keluarga abg mi utk menghadapi kematian mengejut ni.

yg buat aku sedih, ank dia ada 4 org. plg tua pompuan, br tingkatan 1. paling bongsu umo 2 taun. yg bongsu ni menangis, abg mi dukung sambil bisik,

"jgn nangis, dok dgn abah na.."

bergenang air mata aku. tp Allah lebih tau segalanya. hope abg mi tabah. aku tetap ada utk menghulurkan bantuan selagi termampu. kematian org yg aku kenal, mmg mampu menumpahkan air mata aku. tambahan pula dgn kematian mengejut cmni. so, sama2 la kita sedekahkan al-fatihah kpd allahyarham saimah bt md said. semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan org beriman & dicucuri Allah selalu. Amin...

air rasa manggis

weekend lps, dok tgk tb. maklom laa.. cuti lama, kan..macam2 iklan ada kt tb..iklan bgs utk 2 pihak, penjual & pembeli. utk penjual, boleh lariskan business. utk pembeli, leh abiskan duit beli sume benda yg diiklankan sbb pengaruh iklan cukup besar.

tanpa iklan, cmne perniagaan nk dikenali oleh pembeli?? esp utk food & beverages business. iklan memainkan peranan penting sama ada produk akan laris @ terpaksa ditarik balik dari pasaran kerana ketiadaan pembeli.

aku ni mmg cpt terpengaruh dgn iklan. naluri sama dgn budak2. budak2, kalo tgk iklan, kompom terpedaya. cmtu la aku. pantang nmpk iklan baru, mst nk beli. ishk3....so, tarikan iklan terbaru is marigold peel fresh mangosteen. so, selasa lps, aku ke k4. tujuan nk beli susu anlene gold nenek aku je. tp, saja lalu dpn rak yg display air kotak ni terserempak dgn air ni. terus teringat nafsu aku yg nk minum air ni. hehehehe..

kesimpulannya, aku beli. balik umah tayang2 kt jantan 2 ekor tu. huhuhu.. anis ok lg. dia nk jugak tambah2 makanan dlm umah. kalo setan yg nama emi tu, kim salam. yg dia tau, makan melahap cm bela hantu raya segala yg ada dlm umah tanpa inisiatif utk menambah. kuang asam betol!!!! dulu, sblm emi keje, ktorg kalo beli maggi, kena sorok sbb nt dia abiskan tanpa belas kasihan. skang ni dh ok la. masing2 mengeluarkan duit mencarum dlm perbelanjaan umah..

berbalik kpd cite air td, rasa dia cm manggis r. tp xde la cm manggis sgt. 15% dari rasa manggis ada la kot.. tu je aku nk belagak cite sbnrnya..hehehehehe..

You walk the talk first

The Government wants us to change our lifestyles to cope with inflation.
It is easier said than done since most people were having it difficult even
before the hikes. The Government must first set an example by doing
things it should have done long ago.

WITH the recent hike in fuel prices and the Government's exhortations
for us to change our lifestyles in order to cope, may I provide here some
suggestions for the Government and those who work for it to "share our
burden".

1. Stop having meetings, especially out at resorts, far enough away to
be able to claim transport allowances. Have online meetings instead or
teleconferences. Use Skype or chat.

2. No need to order special pens, bags, T-shirts, notepads and other
goodies for those same meetings.

3. No need to order kuih for mid-morning or teatime meetings in
government offices, or nasi briyani lunches for those meetings that
happen to end just at lunchtime.

4. Cancel all trips for government servants to conferences overseas
unless they return with full reports of what they did there, who they
met and what they learnt and how they mean to apply what they learnt
at home. Ask them to do presentations to colleagues who did not get
to go, on the most interesting and important papers that they read.

5. Scrutinise invoices for contracts to make sure they are truly
reflective of what those projects or supplies cost.

6. Stop elaborate launches for government programmes.
In particular, stop the buying of souvenirs, special batik shirts,
corsages, bouquets and caps.

7. Make all civil servants and politicians travel economy class.
That means really travelling at the back of the plane and not
buying full fare economy class tickets that allow them to be
upgraded to Business Class.

8. Stop having the full complement of police escorts to cut
down on petrol costs. If they need to be somewhere by a
certain time, start earlier like the rest of us. Wouldn't be a
bad thing for them to also experience a traffic jam.

9. Once a week (or more), have ministers use public
transport so they know what everyone else has to suffer.
This might provide them with the incentive to improve them.

10. Once a week, let ministers go to a market to buy food for
their families with instructions to not spend more than RM100.

11. Get ministers to carpool. They might get more work done
just by being able to talk to each other to see what can be
coordinated between their ministries. For instance, the Ministers
of Health and Women could discuss what to do about women's
health issues in the car on the way to work. Maybe have a
secretary to travel in the front seat to take down notes on what
was discussed. By the time they get to their offices, things can
get implemented.

12. Once a month, get civil servants to work with one
disadvantaged group in order to be better able to appreciate
their problems. It could be blind people one month, hearing
disabled people the next, orang asli the following month and
people living with HIV/AIDS after that.

We could start buddy systems which pair one civil servant
with one disadvantaged person and at the end of it, ask each
pair to make recommendations on how to make life better for
each other. This might get rid of the problem of desk jockeys,
people who never stray very far from their desks yet make
policies for people they know nothing about.

13. Have PA systems that shout out the name of the officers
who have to serve people at government offices so that people
get the services they came for and don't have to keep coming
back just because the officer was out having coffee.

No counter should be left unmanned for more than five minutes
before the officer is paged to go back to their stations. This should
cut down waiting time for the public and save them transport costs
in having to keep returning just to get one thing done.

14. Government officers who lose people's files should be fined and
have their names publicised for being careless and causing
inconvenience to the public. Instead of making the public travel to
their offices several times to deal with their problems, they should
travel to go see their client and deal with it right there and then.
And every officer who goes out of the office should be given a
reasonable time to get his work done after which he is expected
back in office so he doesn't waste time doing something else.

15. And newspapers should save paper by reporting real news
rather than non-news that they carry, particularly nonsensical
utterances by politicians.

As they say, we need to do this all together in order to make a
difference. So if the Government and politicians make these
lifestyle changes, I will do my part and change mine.

Thank You.

p/s: aku xtau la betol ke x Marina yg bg statement ni. tapi really good want! pemimpin mesti sama2 rasa apa yg rakyat rasa, right???? pemimpin spttnya, sediakan keselesaan utk rakyat, sedia berkorban utk rakyat. sbb, menjadi pemimpin, bermaksud menyediakan diri utk dihisab oleh Allah dgn lebih lanjut dari yg dipimpin. sbbnya, mendapat amanah utk memimpin org lain. amanah adalah seberat2 beban utk dipikul..x mampu memikul amanah, lu pikirla sendiri..

Where the jobs are

2009 akan jadi tahun kelembapan ekonomi. currently, most kilang in Malaysia, dh xdpt order for taun dpn. so, overtime dh kurang, kemungkinan pekerja juga akan dikurangkan utk reduce the overhead cost. most industry dh mula terasa kelembapan ekonomi. taun dpn, akan jd lagi terok. but, belows are the industries yg berkembang walaupon ekonomi tgh slow..

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The economy continues to recede, leaving massive job losses in its wake. But while layoffs are widespread, they are not across the board. Some industries are thriving -- and hiring.

On Friday the Labor Department reported that 533,000 jobs were lost in November, which puts the year-to-date layoff total at a whopping 1.9 million. And with the unemployment rate now at 6.7%, job seekers face the worst job market in 15 years.

But it's not all doom and gloom: A range of industries are posting gains in employment figures. Here's a look at them:

Education. With more people out of work and considering new careers, interest in degree programs, certifications and additional training has never been greater.

"Obviously some people will be out of work and see that as a chance to get additional education," said Dean Baker, director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC, which will provide support - and jobs - to those in the field.

The education industry already added 9,800 jobs in November, the Labor Department said in its monthly report issued last week, and "there's still a wide range of opportunities available," according to Janette Marx, senior vice president of Ajilon Global, professional staffing firm. "It runs the gamut in the education field" beyond teachers and professors, she added.

In addition to greater demand for educators, also lending support to the sector is government financing, according to Baker. "Education will be an area that governments will try to protect because there's a lot of political support," he said.

Health services. With an aging population and greater demand for care, health services is also adding jobs in a down market.

"The healthcare industry continues to be the healthiest sector in the U.S. job market," said Diana Fitting, vice president for staffing company Adecco. "The Baby Boomer generation is aging and it's helping to keep healthcare growing."

Even in the midst of the economic fallout, healthcare employment grew by 34,000 jobs in November. Over the past 12 months, healthcare has added 369,000 jobs, according to the Labor Department.

"Throughout 2008 the industry has continued to add thousands of new jobs each month despite the broader labor market turmoil -- and this is one trend we don't see ending any time soon," Fitting said.

At the Columbia University School of Nursing's Entry to Practice Program, applications are up 50% from last year. Mary Mundinger, dean of the school, credits the sharp uptick to the promise of relatively lucrative job opportunities and flexible schedules in an otherwise dour job market.

Options also abound at pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms and medical-equipment companies, said John Challenger, chief executive of global outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

In fact, healthcare products and pharmaceuticals were two of only nine industries that announced hiring plans in November, according to Challenger's latest job cut report.

Accounting. It's no surprise that accounting is gaining momentum as well. "This is our busiest time in terms of recruiting because we're gearing up for tax season," said Saran Johnson, human resources manager at Marcum & Kliegman, a New York-based accounting and consulting firm.

Johnson said overall "hiring has remained steady, while other businesses are cutting back or letting go," making accounting even more attractive to job seekers.

Especially in a recession, "accounting is a great field," Challenger said. "Companies are trying to cut costs and not over spend, that puts more importance on good financial controls which requires accountants."

In addition, with financial firms under intense scrutiny and regulation in high demand, there will likely be an increase in auditing firms going forward, added Lee Pinkonitz, associate professor at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.

"There is always a need for mission-critical roles like accounting," added Kimberly Bishop, vice chairman of Chicago-based executive search firm Slayton Search Partners. To top of page
